This piece tells one of the many stories that many have lived and told. Coming out is an act, an awareness, it is the freedom to express love that is independent of one's sexual orientation. Despite the apparent freedom in our societies, it hides prejudices and taboos.

What are the consequences?

 

This piece was created for TANZ IM GASTEIG in Munich.

TANZ IM GASTEIG has been a regular institution for the city of Munich for many years, where for 24 hours people can attend and participate in various dance performances inside and outside the famous Philharmonic hall, on of the most renowned halls in Europe.

 

In this case the choreographer wanted to create something specific for this occasion, considering the nature of the event.

The idea for Gasteig was to involve the public in this "limited space experience" and give them full freedom in the choice of music.

The dancer was inside a glass room visible only from one side and the audience in a rectangle drawn on the floor.

Each person at the entrance of the installation was given multi-channel headphones.

The audience could choose the music track or watch the performance in silence. The performance was repeated every 15 minutes.
